Hoping all of you have a great weekend however you possibly can with all the restrictions going on and that are being lifted.

If you’re riding this weekend be safe, too many people have been cooped up the last couple months and driving around may be their only form of freedom to get here and there. Pent up frustrations may be lingering causing some carelessness behind the wheel could be an issue, forgetting not to text and drive and such.

Defensive riding is always a good idea but right now with riding season getting underway in many states because of the weather just have a little extra defense to your game plan.

Be safe, be well and have as best a weekend as possible.

I am heading out for a fun 260 mile loop ride in an hour or so.  Shouldn't be as much traffic as it would have been or will be on Friday/Monday.   Most of the roads will be secondary type not heading to major places.

Hopefully my lunch place is open or will need to hit the grocery store deli counter.

Keep safe.

Rain today and some tomorrow.  We're planning a ride on Tuesday, traffic should be lighter then.  Looks like they're going to be tearig up the highway by the lake for construction starting June 1st, so I may ride 92 or Red Mountain Pass or both.  I'll be pointing the front wheel in different directions more in the near future.

To those of us who have lost family in war, and to all Americans everywhere -- be smart, be safe and have fun!
