https://www.breitbart.com/social-justice/2020/06/01/watch-black-lives-matter-is-a-joke-black-d-c-resident-tells-far-left-group-go-to-chicago/#

“Black Lives Matter is a joke. You are the racists,” said Nestride Yumga, an American citizen originally from Africa.

“Go to Chicago. They don’t have schools, and they die every day. They don’t matter [to you] because you can’t get attention from that,” she told protesters.

One woman told Yumga to “shut up” and said no one wanted to hear what she had to say. However, Yumga kept speaking to the crowd.

She continued:

Group of hypocrites! Go to Southeast D.C., Northeast D.C. Tell them black lives matter! If it matters, it should matter everywhere. You guys are hypocrites, attention seekers. Black lives should matter everywhere. It doesn’t take a white cop to kill a black person [for their life] to matter.

    …

When black people kill black people, they don’t come out and do this crap.

“I’m proud of my country, and I don’t want my country to be portrayed like this,” Yumga told Breitbart News, adding that Floyd’s death should not be an opportunity for groups to make people feel like victims.

“No one is a victim here. The only victim here is George Floyd.”

A woman who stood alone in a crowd calls out BLM as hypocritical at a rally in DC voices her opinion loud and clear is ridiculed. This woman stand her ground while the crowd argues back.

Close to 10 minutes but I found it worth the time.

interesting from her point of view.   good point about blacks killing blacks daily and nothing being done or said about that.

yesterday in Monona, suburb of yuppie Madison WI,   a black homeowner was walking outside and a white neighbor lady called it in to the police with what she thought as a burglar in the white neighborhood.  The cops investigated and hand cuffed the black guy even after he told him that was his own house.  Face it,  racism will never end unfortunately has been here centuries and will continue to be around for centuries.  Just like the Muslim ways in Afghanastan area are set in their ways never going to end their ways/beliefs either.  I got that Muslim statement from my neighbors lt. colonel son who served 3 tours over there commanding troops.

I was intrigued by the news you wrote about so I searched it. I only found 1 article, but since you live there you may have more on the story.

Here’s the news article I found;  https://www.nbc15.com/content/news/Monona-police-falsely-handcuff-African-American-man-who-started-renting-home-570970911.html

The person was not a homeowner, but a renter, splitting hairs, maybe. The resident was in a house that was known to the neighbor to be recently deceased. The police did the right thing while they contacted the family of the deceased homeowner.  I guess there were no written rental papers to show police. Rental contract and ID would have cleared the whole thing up quickly.

As far as racism is concerned, I believe it’s a crutch being used by many to not achieve a higher potential through education, hard work and pride of accountability and accomplishment, but that’s an entirely different conversation which goes down many rabbit holes.

If only one of those LEO’s had spoken up or stood up the the officer who had his knee on George Floyd’s neck we would not be in this situation. I don’t know why they continued to allow him to kneel on him whether it was “his arrest and he was in charge” or if he was “senior officer on site” or even if as individuals they were “afraid” of standing up for what was an obviously bad situation. They all chose poorly.

Floyd then “actively resisted being handcuffed,”

     https://globalnews.ca/news/7010572/george-floyd-arrest-explained/

...a police officer is 18½ times more likely to be killed by a
black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer...

            Heather Mac Donald, WSJ editorial

I don't expect police to screw around with people who resist arrest or detainment,
their lives are on the line everyday.

I do expect police to be able to justify their actions when called to review.

As I said a few days ago
there is a difference between BIAS and RACISM

We all have cultural bias   ALL OF US

That does not make you a racist

It irks me that so many people of color will choose to defend a lowlife and riot over it

Yet when a person of color kills a person of color NO outrage.

This is the real problem  and it is reverse racism

But when a black girl calls out her people she is threatened.  So what to do?  Beats me

except to say you commit the crime be ready to do the time, if you live long enough to be arrested

well said OSS,  wish I had an answer to this dilema?

wishful thinking Al Sharpton's message today in the service in MN but doubt it will change much over 400 years of racism?   Sad

Boy I hate to be the one who says it but it needs to be said, was George Floyd’s death racism? Do you have proof it was a crime based on his color?

There is no rewriting history, history is just that, history. It’s in the past, the only thing history is good for is to learn from it. But that being said, the world 400, 300, 200, 100 years ago is not the world today. While yes there are racists in the world and in this country, the majority of our nation are not racists.

Where do we go from here, I don’t know, there are too many issues revolving around the cry of racism.

First start with the police, what are police suppose to do with a criminal or suspect who is not compliant, who is argumentative, who is resisting arrest, who is being combative, belligerent, abusive and uncooperative? I have never heard of a criminal who is thankful for being arrested. Tasing is not always effective, people can’t be given a tranquilizer. How should a criminal who is as big a person as George Floyd was be handled if he forcibly resists arrest.

Believe me I’m not pro cop, but I am pro law enforcement and a criminal or suspected criminal cannot determine how his/her arrest goes down. I am against police brutality and over aggressive use of force, but there are times when use of force needs to be used and it doesn’t matter the color of the criminal/suspect.

It possible some good may come out of this, but I can’t help but wonder if only one of those cops would have taken a stance and said “Ok, that’s enough of this”. Those 3 officers who did not stop the neck kneeler will forever question themselves for not stepping up and doing the right thing, consequences be cursed and that includes losing their job or status on the force.

I thought they just zapped you with a taser, and you go down like a sack of potatoes.

They're not supposed to do permanent damage, but I think I'd rather comply than find out.

But I'd rather be tasered than undergo a WWE tag team wrestling event.

I would like to be instead in a tag team match with Charlotte Flair and the hot babes in WWE, although all in their 20's half my age,  vs. being tased.   cooldude   Maybe make it a panties/bra or jello wrestling match instead?   Grin   that jello or mud match would be one I would gladly let them win.
