Holding 12-1300 rpm tooling down the street in 3rd or 4th is where it's most noticeable. A distinct putting type miss that seemed to come from the right side. It was there before the carb rebuild but did seem to appear when I temporarily mounted the Viking pipes, hasn't gone away since. I just got back from some errands and the gym so the motor was well warmed up so I shot it with my little handheld temp doodad. All the headers read 113-115F  except for #5 which reads 125-127F, all readings taken at approx. the same point. I need to figure this out, I'm only a couple weeks out from my planned travel time prior to Inzane. When I really twist it, it seems to clear up....at least there's no indication of a miss cuz it really pulls hard. Any ideas?

Exhaust gasket leaks make a putt putt noise.

That's not a miss (but could sound like one).

Yeah, that's possible about the gaskets,
but it could be that #5 is a little on the lean side compared to the rest-  assuming those temps you gave were at steady-state operating temp (not warming up.

I took a temp shot within seconds of shutting down. I forgot to mention the cruise also doesn't work now. What next, guess I should have left the bike alone and taken a chance on problems while traveling. I don't like to do that but apparently this time it bit me in the butt. I'm about to go out and remove the radiator pod on the right side and the plug wires cover so I can test stuff. Still can believe the CC won't engage, only thing disconnected was the cable at the end where it hooks to the bead chain. I left about the same slack as before so I'm a bit confused by it now as to why.

The putting is actually a miss that shows at low rpm.
