Took the red bike down to Elmsford NY on the Sprain Parkway and casa de Lasher

Dug his bike out of the garage and to the street.  His front tire had zero air in it but he had a compressor and soon it was at 36 and the tripletred was in the low 30s

Only it wouldnt start after he backed down his steep driveway

I told him to turn the key upside down  He gave me a dirty look but did it

The bike started.    cooldude Later in front of my house the same thing and also at the gas station

Why ?   Dont know but my bike also sometimes requires the same treatment

Best part was we got to have birthday 7 layer cake !

Love the sound of the red bike but the buffeting from the short windshield is a bummer.  If I dont sell it
I will get a bigger windshield.  Finally getting used to the car tire.  Not  a fan but getting used to it

Need to replace that starter switch.  I actually ordered one over the winter, but was too lazy to swap them out.

Good to see you and Bonnie and Mandy.  Anytime the other old men want to get together for a masked card game, I'm in!  It'll help with bluffing during those big expensive hands of GUT.

Good policy, I'm sure.  I'm guessing that policy has resulted in zero motorcycle accidents when that feeling has hit.   Wink

Eggsactly. Could be nothing to it but why take the chance. I have went when having that feeling ( when young and bulletproof) but didnt enjoy the ride as that was always in the back of my mind.

It was a great day for a ride!  I agree the sound of the red bike it nice.
I prepared my bike for the buyer to come in the morning to pick it up.  I took it for a about a 4 mile trip to top off the tank then checked and adjust the tire pressure and washed and coated the windshield.
Bike is ready for his two hour ride home.  I hope I'm not making a mistake selling the bike is running great and if fun to ride.  I'm sure I won't be bike less long looking at a few still not 100% sure of the direction.
Once I get my new ride I will reach out and go for a ride.

Been there done that NEVER regretted not ridin with that "feelin". Course the similar voice also sez-clean and lightly lube the guns.  coolsmiley Had a couple other times Phatt Ghurl would Not start when i wanted to leave. Go in house cool down a bit 20 mins later she fires right up. Then see the aftermath of a vehicle accident that i May have been in had i left when I wanted to leave. Yeah-There IS a reason fer everything. RIDE SAFE.

Did it not unlock the lock or not start the bike?  From what I understand, only one side of the key actually unlocks the lock. If you have 2 Valks that use the same key blank, you can cut a different pattern on each side. One key for 2 bikes.

I'm a firm believer in listening to the gut. On the way to work one morning, got the gut feeling. Stopped put on my full face. About a mile down the road a bat ran into my forehead as I was doing 40ish mph. Don't believe radar will keep them from hitting you.

I've been down twice hard.  There have been a few more that didn't result in hospitalization.  Both days of the hard mishaps were on beautiful days with feelings of joy at being in the wind.

I've no misconceptions about my subconscious having any ability to foretell the future.  If I lived by a rule that I never ride on a second Tuesday of the month I would never be involved in a motorcycle accident on the second Tuesday of any month.  It doesn't prove my superstition accurate.

For any offended by my cynical and forthright expression I apologize for causing you injury.   Smiley

Yes, you can do that.  Like the old Ford keys.  Double sided, but only one side does anything.  I was a locksmith for a couple years way back when, that's why I gave OSS the look when he told me to turn the key upside down.  It was just a coincidence that it worked three times.   Cheesy

Small world as I also worked one summer for a locksmith right next door to what became my law office

Mostly I  drank Schaefer Beer with the owner (Schaefer is the one beer to have when your having more than one ),  legally broke into cars and replaced cylinders and locks.

Since my own key sometimes requires turning upside down  I suggested it to Gary

For damn sure I  did not want to push 1000 lbs plus uphill to start his Valkyrie   coolsmiley  crazy2
