Me too, meeting up with some of Wisconsin's riders for greet 'n eat. A direct route to/from is only about 100 miles but who knows, I might get lost on the way back! Today is bright, sunny, temps in the 60s & cloudless so getting off the beaten path is pretty much a sure thing. Bike is running good, the CC is a little slow on the uptake so might have a bit too much slack in the beads, other than that it holds speed fine. 'Tis a good day to be alive and enjoy His creations.  cooldude

came back a few minutes ago

Have to say I rode like poop on the strip paved roads and had trouble with the shadows from the trees on the road.  And I was on the police bike which is the most forgiving of everything

Went east on Chappaqua Rd to the end through the switchbacks then north to 120 turned east then north on 7 Bridges to 100 to 129 past the Croton Gorge Park which is closed (freaking imbeciles close the most beautiful park) then over to 9A and up the goat trail and back  All nice sweeping twisty roads that I butchered except for 9

Lots of LEO hiding, their fishing was good today but I was not stopped.

Now gonna sit out by the pool which is up to 84 now with the solar cover.  Read a marty singer novel and take a nap and a swim

When the place gets up to phase 3 I am getting an eye exam to see if my cataract in my one good eye is ready to get wacked off and a new lens installed that will give me good contrast.  Hopefully I can get it done before IZ but it is what it is.

At least we know who is riding sweep   Wink

Wow. Now that’s an afternoon ride!

Makes mine seem like a non ride. All necessary things done so I told Judy I was going for a ride. I like a northern loop around the county. I hit the curviest roads we have nearby even though you northerners would say what curves. Lol  it’s 60 miles or so but an hour out riding sure beats an hour on the couch.

Me....yup got lost on purpose. After we finished lunch, I decided to take a different route home, was 48 miles direct going down. So, I plugged in the home address in the phone, lit up bluetooth, put on my earbuds and headed northwesterly after a few miles running north. I hit "start" on the maps thingy on the phone and away I went. About 95 miles later I rolled into the garage but I think I really pissed off "Siri"....poor gal had to keep "recalculating". Total miles for r/t about 145+/-. Bike ran good at speed but low speed/low gear I still get a fluttering sound from the exhaust. If I run in 5th around 30mph it doesn't do it, seems to go away if under a slight load. I won't accelerate in 5th from that speed but runs easily at 25-30 steady. Want to accelerate, kick it down and hit it, sucker still screams....just that fluttering really annoys me. Got good mileage also, haven't refilled the tank but is just under 1/2 (I/S tank) for a little over 150 miles since fill up, looks to be in the high 30s at least. My country driving was in the 45-55mph range so no doubt that had a lot to do with good mileage. The CC worked flawlessly as did the throttle return. CC is a little slow on the uptake at times, most likely due to excessive slack in the bead chain, but still holds speed fine within 1-2 mph. Think I'll leave it alone. Was a beautiful day for a ride.  cooldude
