This is what some societies have historically done when they conquered another.
The Progressive Left has conquered our politics and now our cities.
They have disarmed the citizens, paralyzed and defunded police, set dangerous criminals free, divided the country by race, religion, and class, kept poor minority children in failing dangerous schools, provided just enough services to the same people to keep them dependent but not enough to thrive, took fathers out of the home and rewarded single mothers who stayed single and had more children, etc, etc, etc, and then blamed the other guys for the fallout of all these insane policies.
They have won. I'm sorry to say. I have had too many conversations with college educated 20 and 30 year olds and they all think alike. They learned American history from the side of the loser in every "squirmish" the U.S. has ever been involved in. They ALL believe that the U.S. is a racist nation and that no wars or laws enacted over the last 150 years to rectify slavery matters. They believe that as long as the U.S. reigns supreme in the world, the worse off the world is.
Yes, of course not ALL young adults believe this, but the numbers that do are astounding and you are seeing the consequences every time another statue topples.

There Are quite a few things in this old World of ours I personally am Not Happy with. But that Do Not MEAN I wanna tear em down or Destroy them. Other than the "leftist agenda" can anyone articulate to me Why these symbols Must be removed or destroyed? I guess live and let live outa the question? ONLY their way or Nothing other than more anarchy? Burning a persons Business gonna help their cause. Whatever their cause is! I've tried to see the "protesters" point or points. Have those "points" been clearly laid out yet with out causing more damage? Better negotiation stead of DEMANDS but what the heck duz I know? You generally make Demands of a vanquished surrendered Military force. Last I checked while I am no longer in a Military outfit I have NOT Surrendered. Anybody else here surrendered? If so I must have missed the memo e-mail or snail mail thingy. RIDE SAFE.

do not worry, a statue of George Floyd will take their place. this is getting way way out of hand that is for sure. Even just today the NOOSE ROPE hanging in the one and only black NASCAR driver's area is way way out of line and shows you how far we have to go yet in this messed up world. What evil person besides the KKK or major white racists would even think of doing such a stupid stunt?  I am not a southerner and have no skin in the game on the confederate flag, but for some folks am sure down south, they have some history and liking to such a flag as they should have a right to as well. |

Most think the battle flag of VA is the Confederate flag. I was listening to a national radio show recently that knew the Confederate flag was not the Stars and Bars but then went on to say that was the Confederate battle flag. Huh? Maybe some history lessons would help? I have little hope that would change any preconceptions. |

I have read a lot of "conspiracy theories" both here and online.
If you wish to sow discord and anger the populace, you do things like this. The more I read and hear about these events, the more concerned I am that there is a command and control organization causing/orchestrating these events.
If you can anger both sides, you can cause/create conflict.
What needs to happen is someone needs to stand and protect these statues. I don't care if the state wants to remove them, they should have to show cause. Not going to happen, but, if it is being done by non state sanctioned groups, they need to be immediately dealt with at the federal level.
Otherwise the citizenry are very likely to rise up and take them on.
