Looks like Sunday afternoon will be somewhat decent weather-wise  so I will be looking to get out for a ride. Either up Boston Bar way or #3 through Manning, or if the weather's a bit iffy just heading out to a coffee shop a little closer by.... maybe through the backroads of Hatzic to a cool little place near Stave Lake. Anyone interested in meeting up, let me know.

Well, a nice solo ride today. Up to Lillooet for lunch then on towards Cache Creek, then  back down the Fraser Canyon home. Dry roads all the way, a few brief and light showers towards Lillooet on #12 and quite windy, but otherwise perfect riding. conditions. No pics today as I road straight through to Lillooet, then after gassing up in Lytton, straight towards Cache Creek and down to Boston Bar with no stops. Felt good to get out for a bit more of a stretch, than the short local rides I've been doing lately. STEVE H...will give you more of a heads up next time so we can meet up half way somewhere. DUSTY.... if it's on a week day, will let you know as well. GORD... hope you get a chance to get riding again before the end of the season. CHRISTIAN... any time you want to see if an old guy can keep up with ya, let me know when you're heading out past my way

Thanks for the report Mike, I was going to ask yesterday, but felt you would post soon enough with pictures.  Cry No pictures. You didn't want to chance getting another one into the calendar, did you?

Ok, and as a reminder to all, after summer comes the call for pictures submitted for the calendar. So get out there and do your rides with a camera, and stop to take those shots (something I never seem to do).

lol Gord, as I rode by the very spot where I snapped the pic that made this year's calendar, I thought of stopping to replicate it for this report. I know it's a rarity for me to go on a decent ride and not take/post any pictures, but I was just in a real riding groove and didn't feel like stopping. The only three stops I made for the whole day were for lunch, for gas, and once to take a leak. Plus, I'm still missing my ace photographer from the co-pilot's seat... Lisa has another couple months with her new knee until she's ready to saddle up again.

@Mike... noted! We were out Saturday night and I knew I wouldn't be in the best condition to ride the next day, hehe. Next time...

Is she going to be OK for Sept ride, or is she thinking of driving? I'm thinking I'll be taking the car, not worth rushing the bike again to get it on the road, and then no time to ride.

If Tess doesn't come, I'm thinking of just insuring the bike for a week and go for it. But I know she would rather go by car, and we could take Lisa if she's willing.

That sounds like a good ride Mike.  I rode a bunch last week as our ride group that usually goes for a week ride around Fathers day stayed on the Island and did day trips every day and slept in our own beds every night. Getting off the island on  weekdays works better for me . Saves $35.00 on the ferry . I wish the breakfast buffet would get going again. After a morning buffet on the ferry I didn't have to eat for the rest of the day    Grin Grin

Hooking up with Steve sounds like a plan for a day ride.   cooldude

Golly , I haven't even insured the bike yet this year. I'm still hiding in the house and garage. The weather has been crazy. I've never seen so much rain . Seems you can't put together a couple of days with out rain in the forecast..... and Kelowna is supposed to be a "desert" climate on account of minimal rainfall .... go figure!

Wow, if there hasn't been enough sunny/dry days in a row for you who also rides everywhere, to insure your bike, I wonder how the growing season will be this year? But with the extra moisture, all we need is the next couple of months to dry out and get the sun shinning, and it's going to go like "Boom" and explode with growth.

How was the cherries?
