Some of my local Valkyrie buddies came over to the house yesterday
and helped me install the fairing and risers...

These ought to make a difference!

Then I noticed that this little cover had fallen off...

Three other Valkyries are going to meet me at a nearby crossroads
at 9:30, and then we're off to Brasstown Bald...

Very nice! First one I've seen in red/white. Always makes me smile when I see one of those fairings pop up somewhere.

Very Cool. I saw you did the risers. Did you have to move the guages at all? cooldude

I didn't have to do anything extra to change the risers, just swapped them out.
One of the throttle cables gets kind of tight-ish at full-lock, but not enough to
actually engage the throttle at all.

Maybe it is because I had such weird risers in the first place, but these risers are
one of the best upgrades to the Valk I've made. Something about their length seems
to change the leverage you have with the bars at parking lot speed, makes the
bike much easier to move around in a tight space.

To all the guys who say "never hook the tie downs to your bars", I say: I won't be
doing it with these risers on!
