Hi All,

Ebay has a bunch of sh1t, and Amazon doesn't have any decent styles that jump out at me from a picture only.

Can anyone recommend replacement mirrors that come in a pack with everything I need (no "adapters sold separately") which are beefy - not plastic, but also not Kuryakin money. There has to be something different in between.

Any advice is appreciated.

Google search “Honda Rune Mirrors”

Lots of good options

I couldn't find a set of aftermarket mirrors that I liked, so I tried the mirrors from my wife's Kawasaki Vulcan 500. They have fairly long stems because the handlebars on the Vulcan aren't real wide. I liked them, so I ended up buying a set off of Ebay like these, but in better condition. Same style, though.   https://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-2009-Kawasaki-Vulcan-500-OEM-Mirror-Set/224023693446?hash=item3428da4886%3Ag%3AE2sAAOSw3W9ezHC6&LH_ItemCondition=4

Same threads on the stems, so no adapters needed. Nice mirrors that don't vibrate or anything. Nice and wide, so I see past my shoulders well.

You may not agree with my response, but it's the conclusion I've drawn in my own such search: Stick with OEM or, for a style change, adapt something from a VTX or Shadow (or possibly Rune, as was posted). You really can't beat Honda quality (and, obviously, no metric adapters are required).

I have Kuryakyn ellipse mirrors on one Valkyrie - and while I like the longer stems (I'm tall) and convex glass, keeping them torqued in place is a constant battle.  In the end, I'm not sure I'd spend the money on them again.

Good luck in your quest.  Let us know what you find.

I just looked on partzilla... if you get all (four?) parts that make up
an OEM mirror, they're $75 or $100 each...

I bought these from the older Honda direct line website. They were listed as Rune mirrors. They are still perfect after many years. As good as OEM for sure. I believe they are one of the options listed in the search I suggested

Here are some photos of the Vulcan mirrors.   Don't mind the busy garage bay. It's nighttime now, so too dark out to get pictures without other crap in the background.

I have mirrors very much like those on one Valk, and they work very well, if not quite as big a field of view as the big clunky square OE ones (which work great but look like crap, to me).  I think mine are Yamaha or Emgo.

The stems are just a bit short for me, so I turn the stems straight up (instead of out), and then crank the mirrors around to level.

Guys who are extra tall or extra wide need taller stems than normal (so they are not looking at their own shoulder or body in the mirror).  They need to be taller (stems), not wider as looking that far to the side is not conducive to keeping your eyes on the road.

Emgo's (Yamaha replacement)  $18.95 beats $100 apiece.

The problem with so many of the expensive aftermarket billet mirrors is that they lack adequate adjustability.  Some just cannot be made to work for your size and height.

I had some very nice Kuryakyn mirrors, but they would shake loose every two weeks; I finally cranked down so hard on the wrench I stripped the threads out, and plumbers tape wouldn't fix it, so threw them away.

I have been not a fan of the stock mirrors.... Honda, why did you put rectangular mirrors on a bike that is all curves..
Gonna replace but I am anguished with what????

How about OEM Valkyrie mirrors EU version?
I have them, they are massive and good looking.

They were made for:
Honda GL 1500 C Valkyrie (-MAH-)
Honda VT 1100 C2 Shadow (-MCK-)

If you get Honda OEM mirrors, beware they change the convexity w/o changing the P/N (I think, I didn't look up all their P/N's).  I have lots of Valk parts.  The shipper of my 97 Tourer - Haul Bikes - stole one of mine, I stuck one of my bin parts on there and the convexity was different.

I replaced the tiny stylish mirrors on George with a pair that were more practical, still stylish.  Found these online; if you like them, respond and I'll dig up their source.  Note they have the standard warning on them.  I didn't bother to see if I could remove it w/o damaging them.  Might be hard to find convex mirrors w/o the warning.  I think it's mandated by law.
