Independence is born again today. While I’m only a second generation American my appreciation of what the Founding Fathers had the courage and determination to put into place resonates with me all year every year. I am proud to be an American even with all her faults throughout her history, her accomplishments have far outweighed what our Founding Fathers could have envisioned.

Below are a couple YouTube videos of one of my favorite movies, “1776”, which depicts the struggle and argument of the idea of independence.

If you have time watch them, they’re not too long.

I’ve seen some heated discussions here over various topics, especially the political ones and it shows just how difficult a decision actually was. For if the heated discussions on this board over what can actually be reduced to trivial matters over simple differences of opinions just put yourselves in the position of any one of these men at that particular point in history. Talk about deep thoughts and sleepless nights, I can only imagine.

I wish all of you and your families a great 4th of July...Independence Day, for today we should all be joined in the brotherhood of The United States of America.

Like any family we as a country as well as individuals can, at times, all be dysfunctional, argumentative and pains in the ass but even on special occasions families can put aside their differences and come together for the right reasons albeit brief periods.

May God Bless America.

Be safe today and enjoy.
