Well y'all know by now that I cancelled out on Inzane this year
I was so much looking forward to this since Roanoke last year.
This was a very difficult decision for me and I still feel bad about it

One of the hardest parts was listening to Connie's sad voice today telling me that with antibodies I cant give anyone covid19.   I just dont know and not willing to risk harming the people who depend on me with another 14 day quarantine after I get back.  I am lucky to have a mom, (who in days gone by rode the back of my Valk in the cool autumn afternoon) and that is a blessing I just can not make myself jeopardize even if the risk is small to me, it would be the end for her,

The only consolation in my heart is that I am still supporting this club by leaving my registration $ for the vrcc  (so you can leave me on the who is going  page or not) and contributing to the charity which is a great cause.  I want a pic of the pie you get Serk !

For sure I will be up at 430am to sit on the bike and dream that I was heading it south for the slog to Asheville at dawn but I cancelled the hotel and what is done is done.  I made a decision and will stick with it.  Sorry to be missing my friends but I will get over it.

Hoping and praying that next year the vrcc will see 300 people at Inzane as this club needs to continue

We have the best people running the club and with Don and Barb now in the inner circle things are in good hands along with Carl and Lori, Connie and SAWB and Scott and Joni

Someone will have to step up and take audition pics?  Who will it be?

Evan , I had to join the ranks of withdraw. I have a low immune system from arthritis  and meds.
It was a hard decision to make.

Good for you Oss, and for the right reasons.

I self distanced from my mother before others even talked about it, because I felt I was high risk to get infected, and she was high risk of life if she caught it.

I'm staying close to my house hold, and will only visit other family members when I can distance from them, and only for a short time (1 hour max), other wise I won't go.

I've since found out that due to my wife's and my health conditions, we are actually both high risk. We are both out there still working.

You will be missed, I won't have anyone to tell me not to pass on the double yellow on US129 now!!! Smiley

(but I understand.... Not happy about it, but I fully understand.....)

And yeah, pics of the pie you bought will be served up, for sure!!!

Thanks again for letting me be the conduit for your donation!

I was so looking forward to seeing you.  Guess I'll just have to wait until next year.

Kali was asking if you'd be there, I take it that's a yes then?

Hey Oss Same boat here. Hade to bail a few weeks ago. Border still closed and even if we (Jacob and myself) could cross , on the way home , we would have to quarantine for 2 weeks. I just don't trust my government to tell me when its healthy or not. These mental midgets need help putting their socks on.
Was really looking forward to this event. Would have been Jacob's first Inzane and riding around those great roads.
Happy Trails till next year. Play safe.

I waited until the last minute, Friday, to decide if I was going, the restriction on travel here in PA, the Philadelphia area are insane. I have no interest in a two week Quarantine after I return, not concerned too much with catching this virus but I was concerned for my wife and others. I knew there would be no refund and I’m good with it. I have met a lot of great people through the VRCC and believe the officers of the VRCC do an outstanding job.
I enjoyed the last two InZane events I attended, I will miss the rides, meetings and most of all the people.

Gonna miss you Oss.   Good on ya for bailing for the right reasons.

I was cleaning both Jade and George; getting the dust off, already got the bugs before I left.  Enjoyed the awesome power the bikes deliver at this low altitude.  Ran George around the parking lot HOLY POOP is he SCARY FAST!!!  Afraid to open him up, I think if I did he might flip over!  Light weight and 150 angry horses George MOVES OUT!!!

Nice build, George Jackson.  And with the tweaks Chuck Schaffer and I added, he is truly the dream bike you envisioned before you left us!

Love you Evan!  And I know how much you love your family.

There will be plenty more days for you to cover my meals on the road because I left my wallet home.  Can always count on you, brother.

Your friend,
Gary

All for the right reasons, my friend.
Lesa is high risk as well so we decided not to risk it this year.
Taking precautions this year means we can enjoy next year and the next and so on so a good decision on your part.
I remember a very kind PM you sent me a while back about taking care of Lesa's Mom. Our willing obligations are now over as she passed March 26th. We regret nothing about the years spent making her life a bit better and more comfortable. Mom's are a true treasure. Good on you for looking out for her!
