Hey RI Boyz. We spent the day at the beach in the Point Judith area yesterday. While traveling we noticed toll gantries on I-295 and I-95. I don't remember seeing those last September 2019 when I traveled to the RI ride. Maybe I just missed them.  ???

I did some checking and it appears that RI is only tolling tractor/trailers not other vehicles. Also I did not see any signage about the tolls on the road. Any comments or confirmations?   Cool

They are for trucks and that is not going over very well with the trucking industry. I would bet that in th not very distant future they will include passenger vehicles

This is true for now , it’s for tractor trailers only.  When I was running tanker in and out of Providence six days a week my toll bill was over $800 a month. None of the customers want to pay this additional charge.  I know there are numerous law suits over this.  Eventually with no surprise the cars will be included to collect tolls.   Last time I checked there are 12 toll scanners through out RI.

I heard many truckers were boycotting and staying out of RI. Good idea!

I've seen more trucks on back roads since this crap started. One of the lawsuits says it's should be for all or none. Just a matter of time for cars. She'll use COVID-19 as an excuse.

There are signs at each location stating amount. $10.00 to go from Johnston to 95. A distance of about 8 miles.
