As far as I know (at least in Florida) there’s no restriction on CC at funerals. I go to many and am always armed. Now most are Patriot Guard missions but even the normal ones at our church I’m armed. I only not carrying when it’s specifically prohibited BY LAW. Starbucks asking politely not to carry in their place is not BY LAW. I don’t go to Starbucks anymore but that’s just an example
I wasn't so much a commenting on going armed (anywhere), but the idea that funeral attendees in Chicago fired back at attackers. I'm armed more often than not, but not always with a firearm.
But I'm pretty sure if I attended a Chicago funeral, I'd not only go armed but wear my vest. Fortunately, I won't be attending any funerals in Chicago (how could you possibly pick one out of so many?).
I guess when you think about it..... if you don't like a guy enough to kill him, you might as well go to his funeral and shoot up all his friends and family too. It makes perfect sense (for an insane person).
Perhaps Chicago needs to look into opening drive-in (or drive-by) funeral homes.
