Upstate New York Near Lake George

A while back I submitted a post indicating I was thinking about trading my Valk in for something new- (have had it over 6 years).  I recently went to my local dealership and very surprised to see they only had about 20 new machines for sale. Normally, they would have over 100 bikes,  water machines,  side by sides, 4 wheelers ect.  I asked my favorite salesman if the joint was closing? He said no, and that sales had been the best they had ever been.  They thought Covid would kill sales, but it did the opposite. I guess people felt that they could have fun on a bike while social distancing. The stimulas ckecks probably helped too. Has anyone else noticed this at your local dealer?  I guess I  am stuck with my Valk for another year, but that is'nt so bad, I still enjoy riding it.

A couple of weeks ago I visited my dealer and they were busy moving bikes around to take up more floor space, usually you can hardly walk between the rows of machines. I was told that the manufacturers had pretty much quit making 2020 models and were focusing on the '21's. He said they had to do a dealer trade to get a certain Honda side by side for a customer as none were in the warehouses and they couldn't get one direct from Honda.
This dealership handles Honda and Kawasaki and that's what's happening with them. Other brands might be different.

The little Suzuki shop in my town was slammed with business when I
was there a few weeks ago.

Our local dealer said they’ve never sold more quads, boats and motorcycles.

It’s great. People getting outside and riding or fishing.

There’ll probably be a lot of low mileage used bikes in a few years.  Grin
