If that is dirty, I would hate to see clean....

If it has been sitting at moms house since November, hand me the keys and I can burn some of that 93 octane fuel off for you....
brings up thoughts of 2 of my neighbors down another street who both have an older corvette and one a newer black and blue stripped camaro sitting in their garage under cover mostly hardly driven, both pristine condition and never dirty.
nice ride though for sure, been in a corvette once. Hard to get in/out of but once in, hang on... Only car I know you can take a 20 mph corner in town at 70 mph and not die in...
Pictures are so deceiving, you could write your name on just about everybody panel plus the bugs on the front. My method for ingress is butt first, then pivot and bring in the legs. Lots of interior room in this car for a guy my size @ 5’8” and 215 lbs. if I put the seat back all the way my feet can’t touch the clutch, brakes or gas pedals.
The car certainly has capability’s beyond my ability to control them but I do enjoy the curves. When no traffic is around me I usually accelerate for curves.
I share your love of Stingrays, although I never owned one. My first up close encounter was at a local drag strip where someone had brought there new 67 427 Stingray for a day of racing. It made a lifelong impression on me.
2013 ?
Mine? No, mine is a 1999 and the first year for the hardtop, I guess since 1967. This was supposed to have been an economy model for the Corvette and GM tinkered with the idea of no air conditioning, manual windows, manual seats, radio delete and even cloth seats. But it was not to be. I think the dealers were afraid of a “billy bob” model not selling and the GM executives thought it might harm the brand too. Only a few options were not available, specifically the memory package which included a power telescopic steering column, upgraded seats ect. They did eliminate a power option for the passenger seat which carried over to the 01-04 Z06 models. I think they made a hand full of early models with the driver seat manual too, but I have never seen one.
That concludes my C5 lesson for today.
