1974 CB750 was my first bike. The Valk was the bike I dreamed about. My Dad's Bridgestone and his Honda 360 were the bikes I heard stories about that seemed legendary in all of Dad's stories. All of those bikes worked together to get my motor running and get me out on the highway. It has been years of heavy metal thunder exploding into space ever since.
That Cushman Eagle is a nice looking bike though. I could see that getting somebody started.

My first street bike (humor me here) was a 65 Honda 50 (Top row right) http://billsvintagewheels.com/ Not my bikes btw. My next one was a 70's something Honda 350. Lots of other bikes since then but almost 40 years later I'm still on a Honda. My cousin still has and rides that Honda 50.

I still kick myself for getting rid of one of these. By far, one of the most enjoyable bikes I have ever had the pleasure to ride. A 1989 Honda GB500

This was it for me, not my bike. Mine was Burgandy with saddle bags and clear windshield...alot like my Valkyrie Tourer The '76 GW was my forst street bike. My first was actually a QA50, a 1969 And then a CT70

My First "Bike" was a 1978 Honda Express. I bought it brand new for about $400 I had to trade it in for a 1978 Honda PA50, because at that time in VA it had to have pedals to be considered a moped and not require a liscense or tags. Along the way I bought a 74' Elsinore 125 from one of the customers on my paper route. After High school and a 3 year stint in the Army I came home and in the summer of 1985 bought a 1982 Honda CB750F brand new and still in the "crate". A wife and then a kid came along and somewhere along the way I quit riding. After a long hiatus I bought a 1983 Goldwing that I stumbled upon while on a vacation in Fl. A year later the Goldwing got a 1983 750 Nighthawk for a stable mate. Then I discovered the Valkyrie while looking to buy a newer Goldwing. And like everyone else who has discovered the Valkyrie my life was changed forever. And as the late Paul Harvey would say; "Now you know the rest of the story".

Here is a pic of a bike just like my second motorcycle. It's a 1946 Matchless 500 thumper. Before that, my first two wheeled powered cycle was a Whizzer. Second bike was a beat up old '35 HD 45 flat head. Only had it about 6 months. A holy Terror to ride. Everything was shot, including the suicide clutch. The Matchless was a good bike except for the "Prince of Darkness" generator.

The bike I learned to ride on was my dad's 1941 Indian 4. I rode it about 3,000 miles in the pasture as I wasn't old enough for a license and every time I hit the road with it the sheriff snagged me and hauled me home to an ass whompin by my dad. Next bike was a 45" Harley, side valve and all the good crap, leaked oil like a sieve and really didn't matter as we lived on a farm. From there I don't remember what was next but a list of the bikes I have had are, Norton, Yamaha, Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Triumph, BSA, Cushman Eagle, Honda, ATM, Arial 4, and numerous others. This is the only old picture I have of a bike left, rest got taken care of in a basement flood.

My first bike was a '79 KZ-750 twin. I was 18 and had never been on a bike. Learned to ride it in the hay fields around home. Sold that bike to my Dad and bought an '80 KZ-1300 inline 6 (Dad bought the 750 with an ulterior motive. He liked to ride the 1300, so we swapped often. After all he is my Dad.) Traded it when I bought a house and was without a bike for about 15 years, then stumbled across a deal on my dream bike. The mighty Valkyrie. It was love at first sight when I saw the first Valk, but took me several years to manage owning one. It's a '97 Standard red and white.

My 1st bike.... I was 9 years old, got a job and bought a Honda 50 sport....Used it to go to school, work, and ride ALL over the place. No police here then, and the county sheriff rarely made it out here unless called. Mine was RED.. When I was 11, I'd saved my money and bought a 250 Dream.....What a motorsickle.....

My first was certainly not the first one I wanted, but it was the first one I was able to acquire. 2000 SV 650. 650cc vtwin and amazingly fun. As with most firsts, I wish I still had it and would jump at a clean one should it come available.

No pix, but first bike I owned was a vintage Triumph, was a 600 Speed Twin that was made into a 650. What a rattle trap that thing was, think it was about a 48 vintage. At the same time I was riding a Buds old Indian 4, and that thing would go if you got the spark advance cordinated with the throttle, but watch out trying to kickstart it if the advance wasnt set right. Actually dont miss those piles of junk at all.

First was a moped I bought from my brother-in-law in 1960 (when I was 12). Rode it year-round in Michigan and kept away from the cops as I was too young for a license. Then bought a Honda 305 Scrambler - wish I still had it.
