There was a recent short lived thread here where a member posted an obvious slanted article about Trump. We all know what the reaction was. Other Members here blocked him after vilifying him in short order. So, a sham political post, a verbal reaction and then some members here blocked this guy.
Okay, maybe posting a snot rag article from a snot rag op-ed journal like the Guardian was ill thought out, and I am pretty sure his intentions were to incite. I didn't block him. I believe that he needs to live or die on the merit of his own posts, and the reactions to them...live and learn!
First and foremost, this is a Valkyrie Forum, so I can understand why many here would block him. I admit, my postings here have been almost exclusively political in nature, pretty much exclusively because of what has been quickly ramping up the last 4+ years in my country, the USA and globally. I was 'that guy' who sat in front of the boob tube with not much to say...was...not anymore!!
Nothing about what is going on is 'normal' from any perspective that I have experienced in my 71 years and now we hear the phrase "The New Normal" far more often than I am comfortable with.
Yes, there was the Weather Underground bombings, the riots, the Baader Meinhof Red Army Faction in Europe in the 60's/70's but we thought that was essentially all stamped out...I guess not.
Anyway, blocking free speech and opinions has become the arena of the Big Tech Oligarchs, Google, Twitter, Facebook and Hollywood in collusion with the MSM. They have gained so much power that they ARE BIG BROTHER...George Orwell's 1984, completely controlling how news and opinion make their way to "We The People".
My skin in this game???...my Grandchildren. If the 'Silent Majority' does not stand up and start shouting out over Big Brother and all the Gutless Stooges who take a knee to the 'Cabal', then what is to become of  "We The People".
Let "ALL The News And Opinion That's Fit To Print" live or die on it's own merits...Without Big Brother Censorship.

         ALL this crapola going on in the world and here at home in The U S of A IS severely testing my personal tolerance for B S and fake news. And some of the folks supposedly elected in charge-NOT Our P O T U S-seem to think they can act at their will and Not the will of the people that elected them. All I can say on the state of the country as it is, is that if these young people only knew what they are so willing to give away in the form of rights.....if they only knew!!
Rights are easily given up but they have to be fought for to regain.

Blocking posts, interesting, I look at the cops on the streets of Seattle and they remain controlled in the face of shouting, abuse, thrown objects and such and admire their abilities. We don't see anything like that here, yet some feel they have to block posters.

 As some have said of political posts to put them on another board, my question is, doesn't anyone have enough self control to look at a post and know whats in it and then say its not for me?  Are we so triggered or weak that our response cannot be measured or none at all?

 If I have to block someone then I personally failed. My people skills failed me and my own personal base was not strong enough or sure enough to not respond.

As far as the world is concerned, to me there is no better example than the dweeb in Seattle that espoused the support for the demonstrations and when they came to his area, like we all knew they would he did a 180 and now says enough is enough.

 What if, a wonderful question and the start of all learning. Once you ask the question of an idea and look into it and say what if, and continue asking till the conclusion of the action you may see beyond your own face. Many don't have the wisdom to pound sand much less see the conclusion of an idea.

This simple question applied and followed to the ideas conclusion could make a huge difference.  

It could be said of Trump, Obama, Seattle, Schools and kids, what if. Evidence collection is nothing more than following an idea till its conclusion then asking what if and see where that takes you. When you get to the end or see a direction, you have a pretty good idea where its taking you. All the words, good or bad, support or no support, manipulation or none when followed to its conclusion all the talk will be gone and you will see what your left with.

We see the political elite and the rioters all share one common goal, communism. What I like is, most I talk to are against it. What I don't like is no one is really doing anything about it.

    Wishin I wuz smart nuff to follow the money and other thing available to the "protestors". Folks gittin seriously injured and some gittin killed IS I M H O beyond the pale. MEANING to blind L E Os and First Responders with lasers is NOT peaceful. Throwing prepositioned objects with lethal intent is NOT peaceful. And the mayors of the cities involved with the insurrection should take a minute or three to READ the U S of A Constitution and the might realize the Feds Are within their right to help control or totally control the insurrection.
