While strolling the water's edge on a rather semi-secluded beach yesterday,
Laurel and I happened to score these treasures.
35 sand dollars
Maine Coral
5 Tourist's Ashtrays

Although I was attempting to get a shark up onto my comfortable fighting turf,
no sharks were sighted. Granted, I didn't enter the water nor did I dress like a harbor seal !!!

Tony....I'm not sure it's actual coral, but sure as hell looks and feels like coral.
Quahog shells are popular among tourists from the flat lands !!!

Paul....It's Wadsworth Cove Beach in Castine.  Follow Rte 166 into Castine, and approximately 2 miles before town the roads dips down to a low spot with a cove / water / mud flats on your LEFT....
Directly across the road is BackBeach Rd....it's unmarked as the sign has been broken off the top of the metal post. Follow in less than 1 mile .... and you're there.

P.S.   Low tide offers the maximum beach combing....
