My C5 Zo6 is coming home tomorrow from 21st Muscle car with headers and cams which should be close to 500 hp--the Attic Rat modded Valkyrie w/Viking headers should be in the low 11's by my guestimation...maybe Serk could do an drone  view being I am in Sunnyvale laugh

Yeah seems like an unfinished thought.

Am under the impression the unfinished thought included which one is fastest accelerating?  Drone would be a good way to judge it.

I'll go with free-flowing unorganized thoughts under unknown circumstances.  Grin

I read the Tourer was magazine tested to a 12.0 1/4 mile..a Standard being some lighter and with Viking header and airbox mods and the Attic Rat package.. one of our members with the same said he dyno'd at 125 h.p. so that would seem to be able to knock a second or so off the 1/4 mile time...the 2003 Zo6 Corvette had a guy put drag radials on and was otherwise stock and ran a 10.88 in the 1/4 mile--the Zo6 of that vintage I believe were the lightest Corvettes ever at some 3100-3200 pounds ---not being a drag racer but a somewhat talented road racer I thought a comparison would be fun and one for the archive...the back tires on the Corvette aren't new and the Valkyrie has a brand new one-it pulls pretty linearly thru 3rd gear before the added Tourer windshield starts pushing a lot of air..it's hot--100 degree's for the next week... and a quick morning run would be something to do.....

Did 21st Muscle Car give you a dyno sheet? Headers and aggressive cam alone would be hard pressed to get to 500hp right?
Could be close at the flywheel but without porting or new heads, it would be a push, however you did say close to 500hp.  cooldude It could be close, depends on how good you can launch the C5.

500hp, did you get a new or upgraded clutch in the deal? I’d like to see them run heads up for sure.

the vette is supposed to be on the dyno this afternoon and yes it won't be 500 hp but close--I didn't spring for the heads--a blower was $12K for 600 hp--it will sound good anyway I'm assured--I have a 1968 original Ram Air Firebird w/470 c.i.motor with the Edelbrock package w/nitrous w/total 750 h.p.--it has been sitting for awhile--gotta go

well got the Vette yesterday..my my...I said a medium cam when dropped off..thought about it and my brother said "GO BIG"....so I called them back and they said the new one was already installed but I was told I wouldn't be disappointed..well , it takes a few minutes to warm up even at our 100 degrees here in big D,awesome everything..these guys have been at it for many years and know all the ins and outs..it Dyno'd right at 400 h.p. so close to 500 at the crank, the thing quivers and shakes big time--the new rear end seems a tad higher numerically so the gears seem lower--the intake and exhaust sounds have  a totally totally new awesome set of tones...well the drag race should be close thru the middle of 3rd gear in my estimation...to my knowledge to recording of a bike like my bike with it's mods has never been on this site.open Viking headers w/the Attic Rat  package..calling SERK!

Ah man.... my drone hasn't been in the in well over a year now...  Cry

I'll see if I can dust it off and get everything updated, but school starts on Monday for 4 kids, so things are kinda crazy around here right now...

I love the ‘chop’ of a crammed up a LS engine! I imagine I would love the sound of a Rattified Valkyrie with Vikings too.

on the way home yesterday in my C5 'vette a C8 in a beautiful Candy Apple red pulled alongside and motioned to proceed to the nearby freeway..it was trafficy as always but we did 2 40ish to 70ish roll-ons and my modded C5 pulled the C8 pretty well..I told one one of my patients who street races a 1,500 h.p. 'vette and he wasn't very impressed..I read the C8  does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds..I am still thinking the Valkyrie can get pretty close to that

My 2000 Interstate had Vikings, milled and polished heads and re-jetted way back in 2002. Us old timers have pretty much seen everything already.  Wink
