Has anyone had issues with the coating on the controller unit. Mine became kind of gummy/waxy residue on it. I contacted Cardo and they are going to repair/replace it I guess. I'll find out shortly !

No problem here... I have had a Rider team set for 2 years now and did not run into the problem you are refering to. Hopefully, Scala will stand behind their product. Good luck!

Just an update FYI on my Cardo Scala Rider Q2 unit.  My unit did not have any performance or leakage issues, just the rubberizes coating began to become kind of gummy/ waxy. I sent it back to Cardo and they send back a brand new unit with no questions asked. They seem to stand behind there product.
