I went out early today for cooler weather to dig a trench to assist in rainfall collection, dispersal and runoff.
The ground is really root-bound and clay. About 18" wide and deep.
Fill a wheelbarrow, wheel it up the yard to planter boxes and dump it in, and repeat.
As I approached heart attacks, I took short breaks and drank water.
Two and half hours and I was completely wasted. Not sore, just whipped.
I used to be able to do that all day. Now I can't do it all morning.
I hear you. I've been in a Holy War with cannibal rats early in the morning before it hits 110*. 2 hours and I've frigging had it. Then 5 hours of volleyball with the family about wore me down. As I quit early and am licking my wounds tonight, the kids come and tell me that 2 rats ran atop the retaining wall. Even the rats mock me !
