As I was swapping out the Halogen bulbs for LED in my new to me Interstate I took a pic with one LED one Halogen. The pic doesn't do it justice, in person the LED is even MORE!

...and I have no connection or profit from this, but these are the bulbs I used. You just have to clip off the bottom 2 clips from the base, and they drop straight in..... GREAT upgrade for an Interstate!!!

You're talking the same two tabs you cut off any standard auto parts H4 55/60 bulb, right?

(A lot of the other LEDs guys have used required more mod to the hole or retaining ring to fit a bulb fan.)

I used superbright led bulbs, sounds like the same ones had to clip off the two nuns but love them so far.
I also did trunk lights main 7443-R27-T-CK-2pk  and smaller lights were 74-RHP3

I also installed these bulbs a week ago, bent the two lower tabs back towards the 3 pin socket,  they dropped right in just like any other H4 Auto bulb. I haven't ridden at night but during the day I could see the lights reflecting off of road signs, pretty bright, I could also hear the small fans running when i stopped the bike and killed the engine, it was in the mid 90's.

Correct, clipping off those two tabs was all I had to do, other than that they went into the sockets normally (Well, normally as that ever goes, especially when you've got giant plumber's hands like I do) and the existing wire harness plugs right on, nothing more to it.

I've been running these same bulbs on m other Interstate for around a year now, and no problems to report, very glad I made the change (Although I'm sure some drivers in front of me probably aren't, I try to aim the lows a little lower than normal for that reason, but just a hair.)

Thanks Serk for the pic and the link. This Old Guy Thanks ya!  2funny And I have like zero idea if BonS is still doing his brake light mod for our I/Ss But to me anywho his mod was worth every cent I paid.  When I mash the brake pedal or squeeze the front brake lever day or night you just KNOW I are on the brakes. And the running lights at night be hard too Not see!  Roll Eyes Seems to me yer still in need of a couple more Valkyrie's what with the boys growin up in the not That far off future!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

How is night time focus? I did pathfinders on 1500 wing and left side low beam has a hi spot.  Haven't messed with it. Had planned doing IS as well.

What kind of oil do you have to run to use those lights?

Standard H4 oil, but you can use blinker fluid in a pinch.
