Any day that you ride is a good day!

Moneta, VA

« on: August 25, 2020, 12:03:58 PM »

I have had several people ask me about The Meet in The Middle Ride for this year.

I called the hotel in Sparta today and he does have about 10 confirmed reservations.

So, it looks like we're doing it!

Right now NC is in an extended phase 2.

Which means restaurants are open at 50% capacity.

Outdoor groups are limited to 25 people.

But, because of a "loophole" that will not affect our gathering.

Apparently hotels in NC are considered temporary residences.

So, we won't have to worry about our parking lot gathering drawing any unwanted attention.

We aren't officially a group.

But if you tell them you are a part of the Meet in The Middle Ride you will get a discounted room rate.

Room rates are:
$69.95 for a Single Queen or 2 doubles.

$74.95 for a King or a double queen.

The hotel's # is:

336 372 2501

There are plenty of rooms available at the moment.

For anyone who may not of heard about, The Meet in The Middle Ride.

It is a Labor Day Weekend ride in that we have been doing for several years.

We meet in Sparta, NC on Friday, get some rides in on Saturday and head home on Sunday.

There will likely also be a fair amount of tire kicking and lie telling on Friday and Saturday nights.

This year those dates are: September 4-6th.

So, give the hotel a call and book yourself a room.

The weather forecast could not be any better:

So to quote Smokin Joe, "Bring it Let's Ride".

I'm working on a ride route for Saturday.

Some are roads that I've not ridden but they look good on Google.

Hookin' up with Mitch in the morning . We plan to meander our way toward Sparta should roll in tomorrow evening. Weekend weather is looking awesome . Everyone ride safe and expect several toast and stories for T-Bird to happen.

Well that sucks just talked to Hubcap  and he can't make the ride. I was looking forward to see what kind of ride he planned out on his BFGPS . Love riding with that man.
Practice your u-turn if you ever have the opportunity to share the wind with him. Cheesy

I have a tentative route planned out:

I was checking out one road that looked great, until it turned into dirt.

Mike would be proud!  Evil
