Yellowfins are some darned good boats too. Sorry to see that happen. Those guys started from scratch to build that company.
Engine thefts are on the rise up here again as well. We see this periodically as in every few years. About the only thing they actually take the time to undo are the mount bolts. Everything else is usually cut including battery leads that are usually still attached to the battery or batteries!
Most of them end up inside containers and loaded on ships headed down South.

It's sad, but I imagine that the market is huge for outboard engines, The prices are, umm, pretty crazy, to say it nicely. If I were to repower my boat's 1991 150HP Yamaha outboard with a new Yamaha 150, I'd probably be looking at 15-20K. I'd guess that the black market would be quite lucrative in areas where serial numbers are not a concern  Roll Eyes
