Benadryl for the itch.
Got me through my sock yesterday, Monday,  morning. Foot felt "fizzy" at first.

Would never tell anyone how to address a medical issue but, if that swelling doesn't go down soon, you may be having a serious reaction.   Might want to visit an Emergency Room before things go south.

Some oral (as opposed to topical) Benadryl might be indicated too.

I’m gonna go with bee sting. Google photos of bee stings on humans.

A snake would leave 2 puncture holes and most spiders do also if I remember correctly.

I'm very glad you sought medical assistance.   We may be great bikers but, as a whole, we're probably not qualified to give much medical advice.

Although, I have helped several cows give birth, let me know if you run into that problem.  Wink

They outlined the inflamed area with a sharpie and told me to return if the inflammation spread beyond that area.

4.45 in the morning. Popped another Benadryl. There's a reduction in both swelling and redness.

Paul,

Dang, man! You do lead an interesting life, for sure... Remember, my friend, while life in the fast lane does seem more exhilarating, you also get to the 'toll booths' a lot faster... I ain't preaching here... I just hate to see ya hobbled and/or laid-up... We need you and your voice to add some spice and 'flavor' to the happenings around here. Besides, we like ya and don't want to see ya hurting... Good luck!

My money's on this ^^

While on Sunday's ride I had a bee get stuck between my head and helmet, the little guy stung me on the temple.. only had some stinging and redness with no swelling. I think you'd have to be allergic to bee stings for it to swell up like that.
It takes some powerful venom for the swelling reaction you had.. glad you're  getting it sorted out.

If it’s a brown recluse the bite mark will open up to a painful open sore VERY QUICKLY. If this Go quickly to ER.

That’s how I react to a wasp sting. I usually get stung on the calf and my whole foot gets like yours. Never needed the doctor. Benadryl helps a little. It sucks

The last time one of those evil wasps got me was on the finger. I think you got stung by a wasp

No professional guesses were made.

With it's quick response to antibiotics, elevation and cool packs I'd hazard something winged.
