I've replaced all my lights with LED's and have the hyper flashing problem. I've been through more than a few past threads about it, but haven't been able to find a link to an actual plug in replacement. I may have just missed it, but I've been looking. Our flasher unit is a 3-pin, I found a few units that looked like it would plug in, but only has two wires. I called SuperBrightLEDs, they weren't much help.
Does anyone have a solution? I'd really rather not cut into the harness.

The cheap two-pin (yes two pin, believe it or not) flashers you can find on eBay work perfectly. I have installed them in several Hondas, a Shadow and three Valks. This is the type I've used. https://www.ebay.com/itm/222242213074I have a brand new one in the garage if you don't want to ship from China. Not looking to profit from it.

I suspected as much, the guy I spoke with said it wouldn't work, there are only two wires. Nothing more than that. I think my local shop has them in stock. I'll check it out and will get back to you either way. Thank you for the offer.

You're riding an IS, right? If so that should be all you need. If you're installing for a Standard or Tour, you'll also need one of these https://www.kuryakyn.com/products/719/diode-kitinside the headlight bucket. I should say you may need the diode. My Silver Bullet's setup did, it has switchback (cool white to amber) LED bulbs up front. They just would not work properly with the flasher alone. With the diode they work flawlessly.

09-02 Bob: There's two ways to accomplish this: load equalizers or replacing the OEM flasher relay. IMHO, the latter is a far simpler, more elegant, and more reliable solution. I'm pretty sure this is the unit (below) I've used on my two Valks with front/rear LED signals: https://www.customdynamics.com/standard-flasher-relay?cat=59It's a direct plug-and-play replacement for the OEM - no cutting or splicing required. The unit itself is located under the seat (behind the center panel) and is best accessed via the left side cover. I don't recall if I had to temporarily remove the coolant overflow tank or not - but it's an easy swap. Terry

I pulled it yesterday to see the pin configuration. Thanks.

Would like to add: the two-wire flasher from superbrightleds works great for the I/S, and it's under $10.
Edited to say: Oops. He doesn't need a flasher for I/S.

Update:
The two pin contraption you see everywhere appears to work like a champ. I bought the diode setup, but haven't installed it yet.
Question: I installed colored LED's for brakes and turns, thinking it might be better than whites behind colored lenses. I'm still going with the original lenses. I haven't gotten the bike back together yet, so I can't say if it works or not. Thoughts?
Last thing...license plate light. OEM is a 67 bulb. It's a bit confusing trying to find an LED replacement. And why did Honda make you basically remove the fender to change a light bulb?

On my Bullet, I installed switchback LED 1157s up front and clear lenses all around. They are bright cool white when running, and amber when "flashing". The cool white matches the color of my headlight and the runners in my Cobra Light bars. Very cool effect, and attention getting -- when the whole front end is bright cool white except for the one flashing amber it's really easy for oncomers to see my intention. All that said, the switchbacks would not function properly without the diode inside the headlight bucket. They would stay amber, hyoerfiash, etc. Even with the flasher. The diode fixed that.

I used colored bulbs behind the colored lenses and they are very bright red/yellow...when I asked SuperBrightLEDs they said they very bright white color from the LED can 'washout' the colored lenses and recommends colored bulbs...
I didn't bother with the license plate light... I'll replace it when it blows out...

Not exactly on topic, but I found on line, a red laser product for rear brakes. It projects a SUPER bright display of several choices of patterns like spider web, x's and o's etc, or a straight beam on the road behind you. Don't know if its legal being a laser, but showes in the fog like nothing I've ever seen.
