anyone know if anyone has done that?..I have a local Harley mechanic that drag races some for a long time who doesn't weigh much..I was going to take my Valk down to the 1/4 mile track in Ennis ..since my svelte frame has battled the Corona virus w/Corona Extra most of the summer I'm thinking my 235# a hindrance to such a run beside never drag racing a motorcycle

Doubt you'll hit any times in the 10's regardless how light weight he might be. Might come close with the Attic Rat's mods or a blower but without that I think you're looking at low 12's at best. Let us know how it turns out.  cooldude

Possibly the fastest Valk ever built, but I don't know that for certain. Can't find any best times anywhere, but the magazine people got mid 11's out of it. No mention of what tire was on the back either, so a different rider or a different tire may get that time even lower. Getting in the 10s would be quite expensive, I'd imagine.

If I wanted 10’s I’d start with nitrous.

10s not going to happen and pretty darn sure 11s neither.  I'd be happy breaking below 13 seconds flat

pretty sure my kids much faster yamaha fjr1300 would not do below 11 seconds, at least not with me doing it but under 12.00 is do-able am sure.

You could probably get a stock Valk to do a quarter mile in 10 seconds, if you pushed it out of an airplane at 10 thousand feet.    coolsmiley    Maybe a bit faster.  Even without a rider.

I remember one magazine test of quickest cruisers going 0-60 and the Valk was a little over 3.5 seconds. Another magazine tested a  Valkyrie Tourer at a 12.0 in the quarter mile. My old 1150ES Suzuki had around 125hp and was 550# and hot shoe Jay Gleason (?) ran a 10.43. So my bike has similar H.P. as I understand it but some 150 extra pounds. New tires and Viking header and Attic Rat package it runs pretty good--I have spun the rear tire all the way thru 2nd gear--I'd not like to add Nitrous and blow it up

You needed better tires. I can't spin through 2nd. If I put a hard enough tire on any bike I can spin through just about any gear.

When it gets cooler I will go dyno my bike, possible quarter mile run come up on a 20 year old 2001 standard. The Valkyrie is limited on the high end. The top speed limit may limit a quarter mile run? I don't know but we will see what happens. I'm looking for cooler air/denser air for all this.
