I found a Purolator oil filter (L14610) in my garage that I purchased in July of 2016. It is still in it's box.
Do you think it would be OK to use?
I was going to trash it, but then I thought I would ask you.  Smiley

I'd use it. I've got some in my garage that might be that old. But, I'm no expert on filters.

It’s the right filter but it’s Purolator’s cheapest model (made in China). The PL14610 is the best one they made until a new lineup came along last year. New one is the Purolator ONE and even better is the BOSS. I get them at Pep Boys. Also available online.

if you would have used it 4 years ago, I'd use it now.  not too much that can go wrong with a dry oil filter.

Thank you for the replies. I was concerned about the media deteriorating with age. Thanks again.
