Got reservations to enter RMNP Sept 9 between 10 am and 12 pm. Look at the forcast.......Sept 8 is 17 degrees low ...22 degrees high with snow.....Sept 9 ...17 drees low....32 degrees high. Dont think I can do that......may have to abandon Colorado tour and head for scenic National Parks of Utah....or the Grand Canyon.

Kinda a freakish cold front coming in. Supposed to drop snow up high. Eye opener, I still need to deal with firewood for the winter.
This one will blow through and Indian Summer will return. Knock on wood.

I've lived in Colorado since the mid 1960s. I've seen snow in early September, but never like they're forecasting for next week. Some mountain towns could see a foot of snow and single digit temperatures! Yet tomorrow much of state will be over 100. This could shatter some records.

Lived in WY for over 22 years. Saw I-80 closed the second week of Sept for couple days. That is a lot lower elevation than RMNP.
Kind of wish we would have a cold snap right now. Projected to be 96 today, about 15 over the average temps. PLUS smoke.
