Out riding and noticed clutch was all the sudden easy to pull in and not wanting to down shift. By the time I got home no clutch.
Took res. cover off and empty.
Not dripping anywhere, so where did it go.
I know it uses brake fluid but I forgot what kind.
Thanks

DOT4 brake fluid, but it doesn't just disappear...

I'm guessing you've got a leak at the clutch slave cylinder. Look under the engine, from the bottom the part facing the rear tire. Look for crud there for sign of a slave cylinder leak.

I just had to rebuild the clutch slave cylinder myself, ironically enough on the Valk I bought just down the road  from you... (Must be something in the Oklahoma air Wink )

Seems like there is a port in the bottom of the clutch cover housing  at about 7 o'clock where the clutch cylinder is mounted that allows a leaky cylinder to drain to the outside instead of internally.

I am just north of you in Norman.....maybe we meet up some day for a coffee. I know there is another Valk rider in the Norman area, but haven't made contact met.

I ride a well used Valk, but she never fails to make me grin........

My clutch was using a small amount of fluid. I replaced the slave cylinder. Easy enough to fix. Mine never leaked a drop outside but was gunky inside.

Anybody know if Seal X is supposed to be installed from the inside? I installed it from the outside but it took eons and a lot of pounding.

Someone mentioned in the past that the fluid could go into motor also?

New clutch slave cylinder should be here Wednesday. Have not raised the trike yet, so don't know if anything is blocking it, no kickstand.

Yeah, that'll depend if when they triked it they removed just the kickstand, or the bracket the kickstand attaches to. The bracket itself needs to come off for the slave cylinder to be able to slide out.
