I'm getting great service from an AGM battery. Holds its charge for 2-3 weeks, well enough to still start the bike reliably without trickle charging.
If it's going to sit a month, I trickle charge it. Must be >3 years old by now. (verified, it was purchased in 2016 from Amazon)
It did fail to start one morning at 26 degrees last winter, but after trickle charging and a warmer morning, it's been great.
My ST1300 has a regular lead acid Yuasa and is also about 3 years old. Getting the same type of service from it, but I ride that bike more often and it never gets the trickle charger.

My battery died at the gas station near my house. Just enough power to start the bike, after the mile ride not enough to start the bike again. Went all out with a Wal Mart battery, closest store to me that had the battery in the right size. I wanted to ride not wait for a battery to show up. Here's a good video if you want to do some research. My last bike had a AGM, I would go that direction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ywopGAXP-I

For those who might not know, the OEM Yuasa YTX14-BS battery is an AGM type.

Did not know that but,,,, Now I do.
And I use the OEM battery. Have a local shop that is set up to change them when received. Don't know if thats the norm for AGM but they have ok prices and seem to have the correct knowledge to make sure my battery is ready to use.
