While at the grocery store I noticed Ribeye 4.99 lb and T Bone 5.50 lb and bright red, delicious looking, so I picked up a package of ribeye and noticed in small print, '' product of Mexico ''
I have never been a fan of anything taken internally from Mexico, so has anyone had any experience with this Mexican brand of beef.

No, I wont drink the Corona piss beer either.

Interesting.... Evidently this company is farking HUGE. And mostly sends meat to the US.

In other words, I'd bet dollars to donuts everyone here has eaten their meat at least a few times...

"SuKarne is Mexico’s largest cattle feeding and processing company and is ranked as one of the largest beef packing companies in North America. Mexico is the world’s sixth largest beef producer and over 96 percent of processed beef is destined for the U.S."

"The company has five processing plants across Mexico. The newest plant was opened in 2016 in the state of Durango and is the world’s largest beef processing plant, at a cost of 10 billion pesos ($580 million). The plant has the capacity to feed 300,00 head of cattle daily and sprawls over 1,172 acres. For reference, one of the largest cattle finishing facilities in the western U.S., Harris Ranch, feeds up to 100,000 head daily across 800 acres."

I'm with Serk, you have probably had some Mexican beef at sometime (unless you're in the upper great Plains /upper Midwest) - especially if you live in a state bordering Mexico.

The past 20 years, I always look at Country of origin for anything I eat, if from Mexico or China will not go in my body, also goes for tooth paste , mouth wash etc. USA or Canada only.
I bought a package of frozen catfish filet one time and a couple months later started to prepare and noticed in tiny print ( product of China ) went to the trash, I thought for sure catfish would be USA or Oklahoma. Started vegetable garden because of Mexico junk.
I figure by the time water from Colorado River hits Mexico it is sewage grade.

For at least 20 years I have not consumed Mexico beef or food, No Nabisco products.

The company I worked for here in Arizona has a subsidiary of stores geared towards the Hispanic clientele. They sell it almost exclusively. It's basically just grass fed beef. Not my cup of tea, but. What is interesting is that in our AJ Stores they would sell grass fed beef for $30 a lb. In the Bashas format $20 a lb. (all USA raised) In the Food City formats it would run $5. All stores are required by law to list where their product comes from. I'm not sure about restaurants.

I just buy a half beef from a farmer friend. Just did this last month and it was $3.00 a pound including processing fees of $125. Its so much better than the stuff at the store.

We got caught in that chinese poisoned dog food scam of about 12-15 yrs ago. Damn near killed the dog. This brand wasn't on the list either.

And I think the dog was trying to tell me she was being poisoned. I'd fill her dish and she would try to refuse to eat it and kept coming to me and running back and forth to her bowl. I didn't catch on till it was almost too late.

From Hawaii.

I get to the Asian food markets here in Iowa 3 - 4 times a year. Dried squid, assorted Chinese seasonings, Japanese food stuff for sushi, and assorted oddball delicacies.

Ain't skerd of no Mexican beef.
