The first couple days for my 5th grader have resembled a virtual dumpster fire, but nothing like this: https://www.masslive.com/news/2020/09/remote-learning-in-massachusetts-elementary-school-interrupted-by-inappropriate-sexual-conduct-by-student-parent-says-teacher-lost-control-of-classroom.html

In the buildup to re-starting school here (almost 6 weeks ago now) the individual schools were hosting large virtual town halls, but there was no security or requirement to sign in with a real name or anything like that.

Kids, being kids, passed the login code around, and someone kept piping porno into the town hall meetings...

The school district kept it as quiet as they could, never officially said anything, just canceled all the meetings until they could implement a more secure system.
