I haven't done much wiring and electrical isn't my strong suit, but when I do the IS trunk removal and std/tourer tail light install I think I've got a handle on the tail light wiring. I just received the std/tourer harnesses today, but still unsure of what and where to unplug to get the trunk off. I don't have a CB or rear speakers but I do have 2 antennas. Just got the IS a cpl weeks ago and the PO told me he didn't have a CB so I guess it's the radio under the seat, don't know why there'd be two antennas. I know I've got to unplug the trunk wiring harness, not sure where it's located....maybe behind right side cover? And I guess the the two antennas will need to be disconnected with the radio antenna remounted somewhere. I'm assuming they're connected behind the right side cover too? I'd just like to get an idea of where things are located before tearing into it. Any insight would be much appreciated.

The one under the seat is yer A M  F M radio. Should you have a C B radio It's mounted under the trunk. You need a wiring schematic. But the fuse panel and all the associated wiring is under the right side cover. The A M  F M antenna is on the right rear corner stock position as yer sittin in the saddle. And as I've never pulled my trunk I have zero idea where the connection plug if there are one is located. Good luck on the project!  cooldude And a belated welcome from The Missouri Ozarks. Thanks, that clears up the CB situation. Having the CB antenna (left side) was a bit confusing since PO said he never had a CB. I didn't think they came with the second antenna, could be wrong though. Thanks for the welcome. It's been a while since I was here. Sold my last Valk(Tourer) in 2010. Good to be back.

CB antenna has a black large coupler on it. If it's just a wire wipe, then it's for the/a radio.

Remove your seat.

Just follow the wires from the trunk to where ever they go, and unplug them. The same with the antennas, follow the wires.

The trunk wire should be under the right side cover. But should doesn't mean they are.
