Just watched the first three episodes, very well done.

For those not familiar with this series on TV it is a motorcycle travel series with Ewan McGreger (Star Wars fame), and Charlie Boreman.  They have done several of these series, the first about 15 years ago title "The Long Way Round".  They started in London on BMW's and road east, GREAT series for those interested in travel and seeing the world.  I think Netflix carries the first series and maybe the second.

This current series is on electric Harley machines and released through Apple TV.  The first three episodes pulls no stops in describing the difficulties of running electric bikes through remote regions of South America.  Series money behind this series with camera work.  But yet it is the remote interactions with the locals they capture that is the highlight for me.

The last episode aired today, not bad but not a great series either.

If not for showing the difficulties and logistics of running electric motorcycles and trucks this would have been a pretty boring series.  Camera work was vastly improved with the drone footage but the local interactions was lacking.

I’d like to see them do a series traveling through Southeast Asia on motorcycles.  There are a few of those on the web, but none with the camera and editing money these folks could bring.

I thought the first series 'The Long Way Round' was the best... I met Charlie Boreman a few years ago, a really nice bloke.. Got a lot of time for him.

Netflix shows come and go for availability over time.

Our local library in Minnesota has the first two series on the shelves.  If your library does not have it they can request to borrow from another library in an expanded map.  Talk to your local librarian, they will find it for you.  Start with "Long Way Round", then "Long Way Down" after that.  It will be a few years before the last series "Long Way Up" is available on DVD.

Great winter TV, it is.

Resurrecting an old thread here with an update.

“Long way Home”, motorcycle travel series just released on Apple TV.  For those unfamiliar it stars Ewan McGreger of Star Wars fame and his buddy Charlie Borman as they do epic trips together.  This new one has them traveling around Europe for a summer on vintage motorcycles.  The photography is top notch, a lot of off the cuff conversations and incidents captured.  First two episodes just released; this looks like another good series in the string of four now.

Earlier episodes are better, kinda follow the book…
London on BMW's and road east>>> sounds like a very wet road!  crazy2

… locals they capture that is the highlight>
If they came around here to capture some locals it would definitely be a highlight  2funny
