Enjoy that last 1 year before off to college for she will not be seen weekly and probably not monthly depending on where she goes to college. At least with today's technology you can facetime her or whatever they do nowadays. My wife and daughter ready to graduate college on their iphones do live videos every single week on advice, etc. of what is going on in her life. My other kid in college not so much he does his own thing.
Both kids however once out on their own said never coming back to this one horse town and have only been home 1-2 times per year is all tops only living 3 hours north both at same college.
Each kid is different but once she spreads her wings, pretty sure cycling together and seeing each other monthly might not happen.
If you want to get creative, we made a 3 layer cake out of cardboard and put 1 dollar bills rolled up tight as each layer of the high school graduation cake. Daughter was impressed we took a whole day making that dollar bill cake with fancy lace, etc. Best part was seeing her get somewhat upset having to undo that cake some 100 dollars of one dollar bills rolled up super tight.

College was mentioned earlier in the comments... If she goes to a regular institute of supposedly higher learning, I can't wait for the stories of Kali telling the professors to go stuff it when they bring up their anti-gun, socialist diatribes.

Congrats proud Dad and Mom. Someone beat me to the punch on the picture of her on the bike as a tyke. I think it was our daughter that said to our son who was 5 years younger something to the effect of stay at home as long as you can. She moved out with her friends to an apartment or two or three. I moved her several times. Interesting how much parents learn as a child matures from 18 to 30. |
