Replacing my fork seals and looking to borrow that tool for the left fork. I will pay shipping etc. I did see several homemade options which I could do but since I have some time waiting on parts I thought I would ask.
Thanks,
TripnTom

Unless you are planning on changing the springs you will not need the 4 prong tool.Check out this video. It's a vtx 1800, but ours are basely the same thing.

David,
Just finished the videos and yes indeed the tool will not be required. Thanks for the headsup.

Often the Honda manual makes a job more difficult.  Here's a short and simple post made on the old board many years ago:

I am changing my springs and have been looking to buy the tool, rent or borrow one.  No luck yet.  Anyone have one to rent or lend?  I would pay shipping both ways.  I have the drawing to make one but don't have the time.  Open to suggestions.

If you would like to borrow mine, you may.
I just ask for a core deposit of $60, to be fully refunded when I receive the tool back.
You cover shipping cost both ways.
