It couldn't look more like the Sears aluminum one. I bet the same
factory churned both of them out. My Sears one is stiff, un-flexy and
works well...

That's my  home-made lift adapter... it touches at the front
of the motor and both of the lugs where the center stand
would go if 1800 Valkyries had center stands. And there's
a board jambed into the scissors so it is "locked" where I
want it to be instead of locked at one of the locking tabs.

I agree with hubcapsc. I have the same Craftsman jack that he does, and aside from the color, it's a dead ringer for the Pittsburgh one in the picture. I have one of Mark T's jack adapters, and the jack lifts my Valk up very well. More stable than it has a right to be.

At the bottom of the handle just above the return spring is a set screw/bolt that holds or releases the handle.

Wish it was a screw type release like on my Daytona 3T floor jack. The pedal is a little scary but manageable.

The pedal is about the only thing I like about my crummy old
worn-out steel Sears jack... I can tap-tap-tap on it with my foot
and lower the bike slowly... I drop my bike way too fast sometimes
with my aluminum jack...

That and a wooden adapter for the ladies. It is solid enough but I still strap the ladies in when going all the way up or when I drop a tire. The IS spends the winter (with the wooden adapter) on that lift in the corner of the barn. The tourer is forced to spend the winter in the heated garage in case the snow melts early.
