Babybel cheese, the unblinking red eye of a demon god, a cheese so powerful they cage it twice: in wax and a net.  "Murder me," it screams, "peel off my skin and eat me!"

What I'm getting at is that it's pretty good cheese and I like it.

When I was working in Gabon, west Africa for an extended period, Coca Cola, Babybel cheese and Laughing Cow cheese spread were the only "familiar" foods I could find.

By the time I finished my work and flew home I'd made a Babybel cheese wax ball about the size of a softball.

Alien, Babybel cheese is always in the fridge, when I'm hungry, feeling low blood sugar and have some training or work to do I go for a Costco protein bar (20 G whey protein, 1 G sugar) along with 1 or 2 BB cheeses. The protein helps feed muscle and cheese fat keeps my blood sugar from spiking with the protein intake.

Another secret weapon I've turned people on to is hummus and nuts, it feeds and satisfies for hours with minimal impact on blood sugar.

I agree, it is pretty good cheese.  There are instructables on how to turn the wax into candles.

I'll just take one of the plastic smaller tubs, pour some mixed nuts into it and stir, the nuts absorb some water and the harder ones are easier to chew. Throw in a BB cheese and you're good for 3-4 hours, depending on the intensity level of your activity.

IF I ate that much cheese, I'd need a laxative.    2funny

Love Cheese!

Kroger Private Selection white cheddar comes in a 2 lb. block though expensive w/o sale price plus $2 off coupon is damn yummy if you're cheddar lover. Paired with Johnsonville summer sausage, oh hell yeah!

Love me some cheeses as well...

This one caught me off guard, all the local foo-foo hippy dippy over priced organic this free range that grocery stores don't have it, but Wal-Mart.... Yes.... WALMART.... carries actual Roquefort!

...and this thread just made me add it to the grocery list, need me some of that sweet salty twang...

Not so quick there, young lady ! Despite the stereotypes of liberals liking soft, baby cheese. It's not so for this one. Any "softies" clearly must be of the communist persuasion.  Smiley

My favorite cheese I think is KerryGold "Dubliner" sharp cheddar from Costco. I get some great food there.

I haven't tried that particular product.  Kerry Gold Dubliner products are typically a bit higher in fat, thus the better taste/texture.  Gotta love the Irish.  LOL.
