My Valkyrie has this Timex clock, it was there when I got the bike. I've removed it and changed the battery, now it works but doesn't keep correct time. I'd like to have it be functional and was thinking of taking it in for repair.

If there's another piece that would work in there I'd consider buying it instead of messing with the old one?

Wow, I thought I had a rare clock on my Standard, never seen one like yours before!

I replaced the clock on mine once back in the day, it was from an award statue as I recall. Can you open yours up and see what's really in there?

Serk, I can pull it tomorrow and take a closer look at it. When I opened it up before I had broken the time adjustment shaft in the mechanism while trying to release the back plate.. If that can't be fixed I can still move the hands manually.

If fits exactly in the molded aluminum casing around it.. so I figured it would be tough to replace.

I have one too... just like the one Serk has... I replaced it once...
I had to buy the replacement twice, the first one I got was
junk, the second one has been going strong for almost two
years now.

Here's the one I got that wasn't junk:

I've never seen this topbridge before either. Is it homemade ? Does it use the rest of the OEM risers ?

Used to use clocks for bikes but they closed, but take a look at this and see if there is anything that would fit. Seems like the same clocks and many different mounts available including the one that I always used the bolt mount on the switch housing.

These pics should answer a lot of questions. It looks like the whole system was custom designed for this particular Timex pocket watch. I found a picture of the exact same watch on the internet with the only difference being the winding mechanism was at the 12 o'clock position on the dial versus 3 on mine.

I use these.  They've been out for a while.   Grin

My intestate clock has not shown the right time since around 2007.

I'm likely gonna gaff it for awhile, one day I'll take it to a watch repair shop and see the cost to fix it.. today I replaced the rear brake rotor and pads.

My 99 had a Seiko on it when I bought it 10 years ago.
This post reminded me to buy a battery. It has been
dead for 3 years.

Did it come with a Rolex too? Haha

I guess I just like to make things work, I have 2 early 80's Mercedes diesels and they're a lot of fun to work on. Those engines are like our Valk's on steroids for bulletproof reliability. The build quality on the whole vehicle is just mind boggling.

Seiko makes a great watch, have had a couple them for many years.

cooldude The Rolex From what I know is one of the more
expensive fakes. My father in law gave it to me some years
ago. The Seiko cost me $6500 but the guy I bought it from
was nice enough to throw in the rest of the 99 Standard for
free.  Cool

I got a very nice foolex in Tijuana in the 80's.  All Rolex stainless and Seiko works.  Was like $40.  It served me well ever since.  I broke the mineral lens, and a real one was over a hundred, so I put a plastic one on.  Still keeps good time.

Of course, a real Rolex sweep hand is a smooth motion, and the Seiko (and any other) is the standard click click click.
