So, Since this whole pandemic thing started, my organization (and many others) have moved to working in a virtual environment whenever possible. After 7 months of meetings and trainings via Zoom or Microsoft Teams it has me thinking - Why not have the remaining debates virtually? I don't really see a downside short of a major tech issue,
Is there a rule that says they have to debate in person?
Debaters already cheat when it’s in person. Someone could have a whole room full of help that remained off camera. Not a good idea. A big part of the event is to see a real person handle different situations. Body language and actual reactions. Cannot be duplicated on a face time call.
