These items I have installed to make the Standard (std) much better IMHO.

1.  Triple Clamps (drilled for the std speedo/tach)
2.  Throttle (much cleaner cable look)
3.  Shocks  (much smoother ride due to revised valving compared to '97-98 valving)
4.  Fuel tank (adds about 10lbs when fueled compared to a std tank)
5.  Saddle bags (changed the lid hardware to the Tourer lid hardware)
6.  ICM at one time, now Dyna Ignition

I can add to that list the following for my Tourer:

Radiator, pods and engine guards - plus I/S-specific highway peg mounts
Rear brake caliper and bracket - An I/S wheelset accompanies the brake hardware come next tire change.
Trunk, with speakers - They interface to my Yaesu FTM-10SR, which is mounted under the trunk body.
OEM I/S Passenger Peg mounts - my lady friend's idea. The bike's Cobra passenger floorboards didn't work for her and the Tourer's OEM peg mounts put the pegs too close to the bike for her liking so I went with the I/S parts.

There's a Two Bros triple clamp in Ye Olde Parts Stash. When I swap a set of Traxxion-converted fork tube assemblies onto the bike I'm going to replace the OEM triple clamp with the TBR part. Finishing up the front-end bling is a set of VTX1800 OEM chrome fork covers. The space between upper and lower clamps is left bare to provide attachment points for Memphis Shades mounting hardware else I'd build a chrome cover for that area too.

The I/S peg holder (which bolts to the muffler hanger) is roughly double the length of the others. I'll try to get a pic of the setup on the Tourer next time I drag it out of storage for servicing. The other parts (a pair of I/S and Standard/Tourer parts, respectively) are at the platers so a comparo will have to be done on their return.

I just checked some web pics that clearly show the difference, about double like u stated.   thanks
