Saturday Ride

Trying to get in as many rides as I can before the weather turns.  I typically ride all year but even so, in the PNW there can be long stretches of gloom in the winter months.

Anyway, yesterday was high 50's, low 60's and overcast.  A buddy and I rode from the Centralia, WA area out to Quinault via 12 and 101.  Light traffic for the most part, no mist, no rain.  It's a good ride and a rain forest/state park there.  Also, one gas station (24 hr card sales with no ethanol gas), a nice restaurant with great breakfasts and a tavern.

Didn't take any pics due to overcast/gloom but did enjoy the ride.  Next weekend "may" be good if the forecast holds.  If so, gone again.

Trap, been a tough summer for riding in Southern OR.  with the Virus and smoke, didn't get in many long rides.  Did ride on Saturday, for little over 240 miles.  Maybe the last time I ride west over the Cascades for the year.   Made a good size loop, taking Hwy 140 from Klamath Falls to Medford area, then picked up Hwy 62 which loops up toward Crater Lake then back to K'Falls.  Did a few side roads just for fun.  Light traffic for a Saturday.   Stopped by the Rogue River for lunch.  Good ride.  Lots of other bikes on the Hwy, mostly heading the other way.
