Once each evening I watch music videos on YouTube.  It knows what I like.  This one, sung by Hank Williams Jr., comes up often.

It reminds me of how I was brought up.  They say that you are formed by age 10.  At age 10 we lived in Saluda, SC about three miles from town in a very rural setting.  Dad had a large garden.  Hunting dogs (besides my pet collie Penny) and I got to roam around.  Saw mill sawdust piles, fields,  and yes I even picked cotton one afternoon and earned a whole quarter.  But I was only 10.

Oh, dad was a Forester and I did travel with him in the summer time.  Watching them plant pines, clear areas for planting and just hanging around the large shop which was just about 100 yards from the house.

I said Yes Ma'am and Yes Sir.  I still do today, its engrained.  Anyway,  just thought I'd share, because the song does mean something to me.  Something I think we are missing today.

A reminder of who the deplorables are. We aren’t going away. I’ll have to listen to this a couple more times today. I don’t guess I’ve heard it in years. Thanks for the post.
