As stated, I forgot mine. Having recently done some maint. on the 'puter it wiped out all that stuff and it's been so long since I've used it, I don't remember it and found out I never wrote it down. So I went on the profile settings in an attempt to retrieve and/or replace it. All went well until I hit enter on the personal question answer and the next screen promptly tells me 'I need to enter my password to make changes'....HUH? That's why I'm trying to make a change....I don't remember the password so it's impossible to make a change. To top it all off.....today is not turning out very good so far. Temps in the 30s when I got up, my back has been messed up for 2 wks. and not improving fast enough, temp now 41 and raining, and my smartass little "friend" in Florida just sent a text with a screen grab showing 80 degrees. She then added the comment about "now how do you like your 10 months of winter and 2 months of poor sledding" which I had metioned to her some time ago. My answer was short and to the point: BITE ME! Answer: OK, you know where I live. Hmmm....tempting but no, too soon.

John, I think maybe Willow can help you. He assisted me a few years ago when I lost my log in info. Good Luck.

I had the same issue years ago after I had first signed up but was an infrequent visitor to the site. I just wound up signing up again under my now current handle and new password. I don't recall what I used initially way back then...I suppose its one of the many unknowns/unused floating around on the Members page

Willow is pretty good about working with people who had that problem (guilty as charged ). He will probably set it to something, after which you can change it to what you want.

John, you want a username and password prompt to say: "close enough."

I'm assuming you're talking about your personal PC. You wouldn't be able to speakth' here w/o logging in. I'm setup to log off/delete history every time I leave the web. And yes I have PW book.

In today's world, there's no way I could keep track of all the required passwords. They tell us to not use the same password for all of our stuff. Well, without writing it or them down in our special password book, I'd quickly be locked out of most things we need a password for. So, we write them all down and keep that book in a special place. I tell my wife the place and pass word, she writes it down. Now, I just need to remember where she hides that book and then try to read her writing. Rams
