My two cents. If you are asymptomatic and have not been hiding in you fruit cellar since February, you would have infected someone by now, so get off that sorry excuse. IF YOU ARE NOT SICK, IT IS SIMPLY STUPID TO WEAR A MASK, OR GET TESTED.
I agree 100% with Willow on this topic, if you want to wear a hazmat suit 24 -7 I don't care. If I want to be a FREE AMERICAN let me be.

Let me say this, our shop has a busy walk-in clientele. People bringing stuff in and people placing orders.
We do have a sign up for customers to wear masks but don’t mind if they take them off. We’ve gotten some strange looks from some people who come in and see not a single person wearing a mask but certainly don’t mind removing theirs to discuss the work they’re requesting.

While I usually work alone, there are usually 2 people in our office. Most of our road crew are usually on the road except when they need more material or need the shop to fabricate. None of us have worn a mask this entire time at work.

We have our crew in and out of the shop every morning and every afternoon. They ride together, work together on job sites and at times share a variety of tools. The nature of our work typically involves close contact with not just our crew but other trades as well. That’s the nature of construction. All I’ve heard from the guys when I ask is “what masks” as far as job site protocol. All supers want is the work done.

In the shop I work alone for the most part except when I need an extra set of hands. If you ever worked construction or did work on your house you know touching things and cleaning your hands repeatedly is not a viable option on a regular basis. I’ve been touching my face at work for years, wiping away a variety of stuff and s rating my nose. I hold pencils and markers in my teeth as well as putting a screw or two there when I need a 3rd hand and rip tape as well.

Not one person from our shop has had it or even been thought to have it. Not even a sniffle or sore throat since last January. Not a single person feels threatened or uneasy, they all say F-that s#!t.

So as far as masks....We don’t need no steekin’ masks.

I have to say - my allergies from the pollen are greatly down, and I haven't had so much as a sniffle related to colds / flus since March. Only good thing to have come from this....
