The smile or smirk on the guy walking behind the truck says it all.
That’s a 1/2 ton truck with a 3 ton tree trunk in it.

Even if it was a 3/4 Ton truck - that's still too much load. Now - a 1 Ton Dually might be able to handle it.... but I would still prefer to trailer it and/or cut it into smaller pieces. caption - "Hey Cooter - I found the problem - it's in the truck bed !"

Yep. Closed-casket time when that axle fails further. A farmhand was working under a combine axle on my uncle's farm in Kansas, years ago. As expected by all except him the jack failed. That was a closed casket too. His head was flattened. No pain or suffering for sure.

farm accidents happen a lot around me lately. My old time farmer now retired (sort of) living up my street nice old guy age 84 or so last year almost bit the dust flipping over a tractor on uneven area and darn near pinned him to death. Story I heard he was going to fast pulling eqmt. behind him around a corner. He recovered somewhat but never going to be the same. Another age 62 or so guy outside of town died with machinery as well this summer. My uncle this spring was mowing and the tractor slid into a pole and pinned him up against the pole somehow and luckily he had 5 months rehab being medflighted ASAP and lived but will never be the same age 70. He is not allowed to drive a vehicle anymore and cannot operate his bobcat either on his farm no leg strength, so he is going stir crazy am sure knowing him always on the go go go. Going to be a tough winter for him for sure couped up inside his house which had to be remodeled bathroom so he can get his wheelchair in .

Wouldn't even think of putting that load in the bed of my HD one ton. Maybe on one of my gooseneck trailers but never in the bed of my truck. Just too much weight. Even with my air suspension, that much weight is just asking for something to break. Rams

That thar' guy makes Wile E Coyote look smart! In the Wile Coyote version of this, the truck goes off a cliff nose down, and when it hits the bottom of the gorge, the tree pulverizes the two guys in the seat into pancakes. And when the tank blows, it starts the log on fire (for 3 days).
