Never seen water getting in the trunk,How much moister are you referring to?
(1) You should have a rubber seal all around the lower half of the trunk surface, were the lid comes in contact with. It is glued down.
(2) do you have a luggage rack on the lid moister could be getting in through there.
(3) the lower half is comprised of two pieces, the screws that hold the two half’s together are under the glued down seal from (1) and the lower bolts to the hinges.

Two ISes here and 25 years cumulative ownership.

No water inside the trunk ever, even when riding in heavy downpours. Does yours have a rack installed?

Yes there is a rack however it is under a covered lean to and is faithfully covered after each ride once it cools down. TY

I've seen as much as a 1/4 cup. I'll check the seal and luggage rack . TY

Shocked do you have a neighbor who likes pranks ? If not, it's got to be the seal or lack of one.

What is in the trunk?

What do you normally put in the trunk before a ride? Or after?

Are you putting in cold things that can cause condensation? Frozen water bottles perhaps.

Is this something that you are finding after a rain, or washing or is it just kinda, tada, water out of nowhere?

Does it seem to only pool up at the bottom or are you seeing condensation on other areas of the trunk?

What is the general amount of moisture and the frequency of which you find it? Once in a while? After a ride? After it sits for a day or more?

Only way is a hole. So you need to verify those rack mounts (the most likely point of ingress).

If I remember correctly, the base of the trunk is stepped, so unless you are getting it driving in while riding it shouldn't be an issue there. Also it has a seal.

Trying to think about the arm rests, and how they are mounted. Maybe holes for rear speaker wires? Something else from a PO that modified the trunk.

As for moister (not water), I placed an open pail with cat litter in it. The silica type, like those little moisture pouches placed inside electronics. Cheap at the pet store, $15 or so, for about 5lbs. I have it in my trailer which is currently stored outside in the rain, after having it flood and mold out my riding gear. Fixed now.
