I wonder if anyone has ever survived pancreatic cancer for as long as he.

A member here, Michael K, beat pancreatic cancer.  I believe his entire pancreas was removed; he's on insulin for life (obviously).  He was very sick for awhile; he's doing good now.

I hear some of the stuff that's on Facebook. I think I'd have a hard time being on there. Besides, my psyche wouldn't hold up to having only 3 friends on there. I am glad to hear he is doing well though.  cooldude

There's a darn good reason I'm not on Facebook - my family has entirely way too much drama for my taste. Besides, there aren't that many people from High school I really want to get into contact with.

R.I.P!! what more can we say about the man, he will be missed.

Was always a great host, loved watching the show. Since he dropped the bomb on his disease, I've always wondered who would replace him. With Jennings in the back ground, I'm thinking that's his successor.

Damn cancer. He fought it for quite some time and I think he tried several experimental drugs/procedures.

I always like that he would not allow being called the 'star' of the show, he said the contestants were the stars, he was the host.

I thought this was a death sentence, glad to hear that some have survived it.

As to having very few TV stations in the day, Jeopardy was a favorite for sure. Seen a interview with him some time ago, very classy indeed. RIP

Last night (Sunday 11/8/20) at 10pm, ABC did a very nice 1hr. program on his life.
