I've never seen so many threads with the same title  cooldude

It's 2pm here in the UK,my Turkey is cooked, all the veg is done, just waiting for the family to return from the hospital (mother-in-law very poorly) and then we can all indulge.

On a bah-humbug note a 6kg turkey in the uk cost £50 about $80,,,,,total disgrace

Only one thing left to say

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL VALKYRIE OWNERS ALL OVER THE WORLD

Hi Pitbull,

Merry Christmas to you!  I emigrated from the UK in 1987 and have been living in the USA since that time.  I also naturalised to be a US citizen this year.  I have dual citizenship.  Just spoke with my parents who live near Gatwick airport.  They also just had their turkey.

I bought my Valk in October of this year through Craiglist.  It's a 97 with only 15,000 miles on it.  It is the same color as your Valk with added pinstriping, lots of chrome bling, Mustang seat, newer Cobra tires, custom saddlebags, etc.  I have not had the opportunity to take any pictures of it as yet.  I paid 3,000 pounds Sterling for it.  The guy was in a hurry to get rid of it so I snapped it up.  The carbs need to be synched.  Can't wait till late spring to get it out on the road in Oregon.  Miss the English countryside but the roads and different terrain the the US certainly make up for it.  I also have a 07 Goldwing equipped with an airbag and I have done quite a bit of touring west of the Mississippi River.  Thinking of getting rid of my 97 Harely Lowrider as the Valk makes it look like a loud hair drier on wheels.

Thanks for your prayers fstsix,my mother-in-law is a remarkable lady. She was admitted to hospital 6 weeks ago with a serious ulcer on her foot, which she has had for two years. They tried one last operation to try and get it to heal, but it didnt help. Two weeks ago they amputated her leg, just below the knee,in surgery for 5 hours. When she came back onto the ward she spotted my wife, put her thumb up and started singing "I'm Jake the Pake, with an extra leg".The morphine she was taking affected her bowells and she has ended up perferating her bowell. The hospital has told us that she will not survive the operation to repair it as she is too frail so they are relying on anti biotics. They said last night she has a 50/50 chance of surviving and the next 24-48 are critical. The sad thing about it is,she's still fully aware of whats going on.She's still chatting and joking away, although she does admit she is scared,at 77 years old she's one very special person .

Hi Oxfordhog,
I live about 100 miles from Gatwick.
I've also dreamed about emigrating as well.I've wanted to emigrate to Canada for about 20 years but for one thing and another never did it.Still,I'm only 45 so there's still plenty of time.Next summer,me and the wife are touring France, when there I will be having a look to see what life is like in the south,I like to keep an open mind.
